Eduquer et sensibiliser au territoire est un des enjeux d’avenir pour le Pilat. Bien connaître son environnement, mais aussi la vie locale, sous ses aspects économiques, paysagers, humains est un atout indéniable pour aider les plus jeunes à se construire, et les plus âgés à apprécier d’avantage leur Pilat.

To know their own environment very well

Listed as one of the 5 major missions of the regional nature Parks, the education of the public is a major issue in years to come for the Parc du Pilat.

Indeed, the Park’s heritage is often overlooked both by the inhabitants, who don’t know their own environment very well, and by the people of the gateway towns, who sometimes see Pilat only as a playground.

This is why educating people about the territory is addressed to adults as well as to children.
Its three aims are: 

  • To explore and understand the Pilat territory in every aspect (environmental, economic and cultural).
  • To share the project set out in the Park charter (in terms of development, management and protection)
  • To promote eco-citizen behaviour by raising awareness and interest among the citizens.
