To help companies adapt to the current and future challenges, the economic activities of the Park aim to better integrate the environment into their development. This same concern also leads them to pursue a strong energy policy.

Actions to support economic development

The Park territory has a rich tapestry of industry, craftsmanship and commerce, both dense and varied, which distinguishes it from other rural regions fighting against economic desertification.
Nonetheless, it is true that this wealth is fragile: The industries in Pilat have to adapt to present and future challenges relating to local, regional, national and even international economic and social dynamics.

To help address these issues, the Park Charter, in collaboration with the local collectives and their associations, have set out actions to support economic development based on sustainable development:

Collaboration between firms
Networking and collaboration between firms, as a measure to ensure efficiency, competitiveness and sustainability. ,
Environmental performance
Environmental performance is to be applied to economic activities as an element of quality and distinction to customers,
The supply and demand relationship
Improving the supply and demand relationship regarding work by the grouping and common work of employers and the development of innovative activities in this area,

Working partnerships between business, collectives, institutional and professional bodies to develop innovative actions regarding energy, waste management, eco-construction etc.

Energy

Since the valuation of timber resources from the development of dendro-energy up to the promotion of energy conservation, the Park has been developing a transversal policy, between those involved and the issues at stake. This will lead the Park to be involved in a climate plan.
