Culture
In its infancy, cultural activity was one of the spearheads of the Parc du Pilat. Today, it can rely on the many professionals established in the massif.
Une politique culturelle
Since its inception, the Parc du Pilat had developed a cultural policy. This mission has been carried out from the very beginning with the associations and the residents, in order to grasp the essence of the territory and to uncover its riches to both its inhabitants and visitors.
The Park’s activities are rich and diverse and include several areas such as: The performing arts, music, visual art, literature, and contemporary design.
Over the years, Park du Pilat’s cultural participants have developed many initiatives such as: festivals and cultural events, exhibitions and artist in-residence programmes.
The cultural policy of the Park aims to support cultural initiatives by coordinating offers on its territory, and to promote exchanges, networking and cooperation with other territories or other partners (European regions, other nature Parks, cultural urban establishments.)
The actions undertaken
The Park also runs a cultural programme that develops its resources (natural and heritage sites, landscape, business investors), and gives life to the region.
