The Crêts
Mountain landscapes identity
The crêts designates the moor-covered summits the highest of which is the Crêt de la Perdrix (1432m) in the heart of the Pilat massif. The harsh climatic conditions, the pseudo-alpine flora and the vast masses of boulders, known as chirats, give these mountain landscapes their identity.
Surrounded by thick forests, the crêts also offer spectacular views of the Alps and the Massif Central.
